Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 1 pound boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chicken seasoning blend (your favorite or simply salt and pepper)
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 (12-ounce) jar Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
Pasta
- 1 pound rotini or penne pasta
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and season it generously with your preferred chicken seasoning blend or simply salt and pepper.
- Grill the chicken: Preheat a propane grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Once cooked, cover and set aside to rest.
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini or penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- Make the sauce base: In a large, deep skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter and cream cheese together, stirring frequently until smooth and combined.
- Add the Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan sauce: Pour the jar of Buffalo Wild Wings Garlic Parmesan Sauce into the skillet with the cream cheese mixture and stir to incorporate.
- Mix in heavy cream and parmesan: Pour the 1 cup of heavy cream into the empty Buffalo Wild Wings sauce bottle, screw the lid back on tightly, and shake well to get all remaining sauce from the bottle. Add this cream mixture and the grated parmesan cheese into the skillet and stir until smooth and combined.
- Add the chicken: Dice the cooked chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and fold them into the sauce evenly.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the drained pasta into the skillet with the sauce and chicken. Stir thoroughly until the pasta is fully coated with the creamy garlic parmesan sauce.
- Serve: Serve the dish warm immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- You can cook the chicken by any method you prefer – baking, sautéing, or substituting with store-bought rotisserie chicken. Grilling adds a nice smoky flavor but is not mandatory.
- Store leftover pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat or in the microwave to avoid separating the sauce.
