Description

A delicious and easy Chicken Apple Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner featuring roasted baby potatoes, carrots, broccoli, and flavorful chicken apple sausages glazed with maple syrup. This sheet pan meal is perfect for a simple weeknight dinner with minimal cleanup and balanced flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Proteins and Vegetables

  • 4 chicken apple sausages
  • 24 oz baby potato medley
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 2 small or 1 large broccoli crown, chopped

Seasonings and Oils

  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder, divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder, divided
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for roasting the ingredients evenly.
  2. Prepare Vegetables and Sausage: Chop the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and cut the broccoli into florets. Slice the chicken apple sausages into rounds for even cooking.
  3. Season Potatoes and Carrots: In a large bowl, toss the chopped potatoes and baby carrots with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread them evenly on a large sheet pan for roasting.
  4. Roast Potatoes and Carrots: Place the sheet pan in the oven and roast for 20 minutes. Halfway through, stir the potatoes and carrots to ensure even cooking and browning.
  5. Season Broccoli: While the potatoes and carrots are roasting, mix the chopped broccoli with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl to evenly coat.
  6. Add Broccoli to Sheet Pan: Remove the sheet pan from the oven, push the potatoes and carrots to one side, and spread the seasoned broccoli on the other side. Return the pan to the oven and roast for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Add Sausages and Continue Roasting: Remove the pan again, create some space on the pan, and add the sliced chicken apple sausages. Roast for 20 minutes more, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking of all components.
  8. Apply Maple Syrup Glaze: Take the pan out of the oven once more. Drizzle the broccoli, potatoes, and carrots with 3 tablespoons of pure maple syrup. Add additional salt and pepper to taste, then toss everything together to coat well.
  9. Final Roast: Return the pan to the oven and roast for a final 10 minutes to caramelize the maple syrup glaze and finish cooking all ingredients to perfection.

Notes

  • Keeping the ingredients separate on the sheet pan allows for better roasting and distinct textures, but you can mix everything together before the final roasting if preferred.
  • Adjust seasoning and maple syrup quantity to taste for a sweeter or more savory dish.
  • Baby potatoes are ideal for even roasting, but any small potatoes can be used if cut into uniform pieces.
  • This recipe is best served hot, straight from the oven for crispy textures and maximum flavor.
