Ingredients
Scale
Rolls & Cheese
- 12 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 8–10 slices cheddar cheese (or more for extra cheesy sliders)
Garlic Butter Mixture
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup, if desired.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, garlic powder, dried oregano, and optional chopped parsley until well combined to create a flavorful garlic herb butter.
- Slice Rolls: Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls into thirds vertically, creating three layers for the sliders.
- Butter the Rolls: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of each roll piece to ensure every bite is infused with garlicky goodness.
- Add Cheese: Layer slices of cheddar cheese between the bottom, middle, and top layers of the rolls. Be generous with the cheese to get a good melt and gooey texture.
- Bake: Place the assembled sliders on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes. Flip the sliders halfway through baking to ensure even melting and browning. They should turn golden and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm. These sliders are fantastic on their own or paired with tomato soup, marinara sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
Notes
- Best Cheese Options: While cheddar is classic, combining cheddar with mozzarella or provolone will make the sliders even melty and delicious.
- Extra Crispy Tip: For a crispier top, broil the sliders for 30–60 seconds at the end of baking. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Serving Idea: Cut sliders into smaller pieces to serve as dippers at parties or on snack boards.
- Storage: Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 8–10 minutes or in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes to maintain a crispy texture.
