Ingredients
Scale
Produce
- 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
- 5 slices cucumber
- 8 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
Meat
- 3 slices prosciutto
- 2 slices organic ham deli meat
- 3 slices organic chicken breast deli meat
Condiments
- 1 tablespoon homemade mayo
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
Others
- 1 piece parchment paper (about 15″ x 15″)
Instructions
- Prepare the base: On a cutting board, lay the 15” x 15” piece of parchment paper flat. Arrange 5 to 8 iceberg lettuce leaves in the center of the parchment, overlapping the edges so there is no gap between the leaves, creating a uniform wrap base.
- Apply the spreads: Evenly spread the yellow mustard and homemade mayo over the layered lettuce leaves to provide a tangy, creamy flavor foundation.
- Add meat layers: Place the 3 slices of prosciutto first, followed by 2 slices of organic ham and 3 slices of organic chicken breast deli meat evenly on top of the spreads.
- Add fresh vegetables: Layer the 5 cucumber slices and 8 halved cherry tomatoes on top of the meats to add freshness and crunch.
- Roll the wrap: Using the parchment paper as a base, roll the lettuce wrap tightly like a burrito. Halfway through rolling, fold the edges of the wrap toward the center to ensure the fillings are secured inside. Continue rolling until fully wrapped with the parchment paper.
- Slice and serve: Using a sharp knife, slice the lettuce wrap in half or desired portions, then serve immediately and enjoy the fresh and flavorful low-carb sandwich wrap.
Notes
- Use parchment paper underneath the lettuce to prevent mess and help with rolling.
- Substitute iceberg lettuce with romaine, butter lettuce, Boston lettuce, or green leaf lettuce as preferred.
- Always wash and thoroughly dry lettuce leaves before assembling to prevent sogginess.
- This wrap is best eaten fresh and should be stored for only up to one day if needed.
