Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 8 oz tube crescent roll dough, separated along perforated edges into triangles
- 24 little smokies
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F to prepare for baking the pigs in a blanket.
- Prepare Dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough and tear it into triangles along the perforated edges. Then cut each large triangle into 3 smaller triangles for better sizing around the little smokies.
- Wrap Smokies: Take each little smokie and roll it tightly in a small triangle of crescent dough, pinching the dough closed to seal it. Place the wrapped smokies seam side down on a baking pan to prevent unrolling during baking.
- Add Topping: Brush the tops of each dough-wrapped smokie with melted butter generously to promote browning and flavor. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning evenly over the butter-brushed tops for a savory seasoning crust.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve these pigs in a blanket warm with your choice of dipping sauces for a delicious snack or appetizer.
Notes
- Warm leftovers in a 350ºF oven to retain crispiness or microwave for convenience.
- Everything bagel seasoning enhances flavor but can be omitted or substituted with different seasoning blends if desired.
- Ensure dough is sealed tightly to avoid unrolling during baking.
- Use mini hot dogs or other cocktail sausages as alternatives to little smokies.
