Cheesecake Dip Base
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (add more to taste)
Toppings
- 5.5 oz caramel sauce or caramel dip (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup toasted pecans
For Serving
- Apples or other fruits for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, cream together 8 oz softened cream cheese, 3 tbsp heavy cream, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/3 cup brown sugar until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Assemble the Dip Base: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over a serving plate or shallow bowl, making sure to create a slightly deep layer that will hold the toppings and allow for comfortable dipping.
- Add Caramel and Pecans: Pour and spread 5.5 oz of caramel sauce evenly over the cream cheese layer. Then sprinkle 1/4 cup toasted pecans on top for a crunchy texture.
- Serve or Store: Serve the dip immediately with sliced apples or other fruits. If preparing ahead, store the dip in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Before serving, allow it to sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes to soften for optimal texture.
Notes
- Use ripe, crisp apples such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for the best dipping experience.
- To save time, use pre-toasted pecans, or toast your own in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
- This dip is best enjoyed the same day but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
- Allowing the dip to soften at room temperature improves its creaminess and makes dipping easier.
