Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 10 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons water
- 2 Tablespoons salted butter
- 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
- 10–12 slices cheddar cheese
- 1½ pounds thinly sliced deli ham (about 9–12 slices)
Topping
- 2 Tablespoons salted butter
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 Tablespoons crushed French fried onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350℉ (177℃). Spray a 9”x13” casserole dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside.
- Mix Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 10 large eggs, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and 2 tablespoons water until well combined.
- Scramble Eggs: Melt 2 tablespoons salted butter in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently until eggs are just set but still slightly wet in some spots. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare Rolls: Without separating the rolls, slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls evenly in the prepared casserole dish. Set the top halves aside.
- Layer Cheese and Ham: Arrange 6 slices of cheddar cheese evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Next, layer the thinly sliced deli ham (about 1½ pounds or 9-12 slices) over the cheese.
- Add Eggs and More Cheese: Spread the scrambled eggs evenly over the ham layer. Then add the remaining cheese slices on top of the eggs.
- Top with Roll Buns: Place the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls on top of the layered ingredients. Press down gently to compact the sandwich.
- Prepare Topping Glaze: In a microwave-safe medium bowl, melt 2 tablespoons salted butter. Stir in 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 2 tablespoons crushed French fried onions, 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, and 1 teaspoon poppy seeds until well combined.
- Brush and Bake: Brush the glaze mixture generously over the tops and sides of the rolls. Loosely cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes covered. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the rolls are golden brown on top.
- Serve: Once baked, cut between the rolls to separate individual sliders. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Storage: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat individually in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
- Freezing: For meal prep, wrap each slider individually in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag. They will keep up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in the microwave using 30-second intervals until heated through, without thawing first.
